Lincoln Applied Geology, Inc.
(LAG) successfully assisted a mid-sized Vermont town design and apply for a
wastewater disposal permit that accommodated an estimated daily volume of
30,000 gallons of effluent. A comprehensive investigative plan proved that
the proposed wastewater disposal area could effectively process and renovate
effluent without affecting nearby stream quality. The investigation included:
- Existing in-stream
and flow surveys of surrounding streams
- Biomonitoring
surveys
- Soil studies
- Hydro-geological
studies (which included installation of monitoring wells, determining
the character of groundwater and conducting hydraulic conductivity
tests)
- Effluent
renovation studies
